Different Layers Of Soil Model Diorama

Make your own different layers of soil model using these soil diorama printables. Making and labeling this 3D different layers of soil craft is a great way to learn all about the layers of soil for kids. 

This is a simple diorama to make as it is made up of just two pages. You have the option of printing out the color version or using the black-and-white version to color or paint yourself. 

To make your layers of soil diorama print the template out onto thick white paper or thin cardstock. Cut along the solid black lines and fold along the dotted lines and then glue the tabs together to create your layers of soil diorama. There are 2 parts to this model so it looks as if the soil has been cut in half. 

Glue the trees and rocks to the top of the soil pieces. Then to finish your different layers of the soil model add the labels to each layer of the soil. There are 6 soil labels to add; organic layer, topsoil, eluviation layer, subsoil, parent rock, and bedrock.
